On a quest to bring fullness to life for herself and others, Atara is a seeker of wisdom and balance, which attracted her to yoga and meditative practices.
Atara believes that awareness of our suffering motivates us to begin the work to return to wholeness. "By developing the discipline of deep vulnerability and presence with ourselves, we honor each aspect of ourselves that we discover along the way," she says. "This process is not for the faint of heart, but mindful yoga practice can ease the process."
Atara received her yoga teaching certification in the spring of 2022. Also known as Madeline Horrigan, she grew up in Fairfield, Connecticut. She currently resides in Black Rock, Bridgeport.
